Usually things that are free on the Internet tend to not be that great and/or illegal. With new legislation being passed about the legality of copyright and the web, it’s hard not to break the bank spending money on mp3s. This is where the Free Music Archive becomes incredibly handy. Directed by WMFU, a freeform radio station based in New Jersey, the FMA is fairly self-explanatory. Artists upload selected tracks to the site in order to be legally downloaded by anyone for free- honestly, there’s no trick! So, to get you started, here’s a playlist featuring some rockin’ ladies whose music can be found FOR FREE at www.fma.org.
